1. Transformational Leadership- Creating unity, developing bonds, creating energy, and instilling passion.
2. Delegative Leadership- Leaders who adopt to this style have trust, relying on their employees to do their jobs-no micromanage or get too involved.
3. Authoritative Leadership- Not to be confused with authoritarian leadership, authoritative leadership places more emphasis on a follow me approach. In this way leaders chart a course and encourage those around them to follow.
4. Transactional Leadership- establishes roles and responsibilities for each employee. However, it can lead to diminishing returns if employees are always aware of how much their effort is worth.
Participative Leadership- Spontaneous, open and candid communication are often associated with a participative leadership style. Remote working, or virtual teams can make this particularly challenging to maintain.

Let’s talk about leadership, LEADERS. How many of you consider yourselves leaders, whether at home, school, or in a corporate environment? If I had posed this question 25 years ago, we would get a drastically different answer than today. Moreover, a completely different answer 50 years ago. The bottom-line, leadership just like the economy, gas prices, and the real estate market changes from one decade to another. Our current and future leaders must be willing to accept the evolution of change within the people we are charged to lead. An adaptive leader must be agile in a way to provide leadership for a vast diverse team relative to different age groups, social backgrounds, and ethicistic. This adaptive leader is often placed into these positions with little or no leadership experience and or training. But expected to perform flawlessly with little or no guidance. This situation is mainly because we often confuse being a manager with being a leader. Two positions with different skills level requirements.... more to follow.
